Scenario Planning in Uncertain Times

Webinar

  • June 22, 2022
  • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

We all have learned skills to build assumptions that reliably helped us predict the next year or two for our organizations. But do you find your carefully developed budgets, forecasts, and plans suddenly have been turned upside down? Now you’re not sure your tools still work, but you know you must do something.

Join us as we explore how to assess your current and future financial positions by developing new scenario and contingency plans for your organizations. The webinar will provide techniques and approaches to having practical conversations critical to organizational decision making, while also providing analytical tools to assist in gauging the risks to your income and the flexibility of your expenses.

This webinar will have closed captioning available through the online service Rev.com.

Sarah Jackson

I’ve been working with or for nonprofit organizations in Minnesota for more than a decade in various roles including as executive director of the Minnesota News Council and program director for the Minnesota Newspaper Association. Knowledge of nonprofit finance once eluded me, but now I love helping nonprofit leaders decipher and understand the often exclusionary language of finance. As a lender, trainer and partner, I work closely with nonprofits in the upper Midwest supporting their important mission-driven work. I earned degrees in Journalism and Philosophy from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I love books, newspapers, travel, cooking, sports, and Lake Superior.
