John Skillings
John is a seasoned finance professional who enjoys helping nonprofit organizations with their finance and accounting needs. From my years of experience, I understand the relationship between good finance/accounting systems and practices and mission success.
John has worked in the Nonprofit sector for over 30 years, mostly as CFO and Finance Director, with several organizations over that span. He joined the consulting ranks with MAP for Nonprofits, which brough me to Propel. John is on the board of directors at Autism Society of Minnesota, serving as Treasurer, and the Shannon Leadership Institute, where he also serves as Treasurer.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a passionate Minnesota sports fan, who never misses a Timberwolves game. John also likes to collect “stuff.” He has a large vinyl collection, which he’s happy to show off during Zoom calls. John likes to spend his weekends in the yard, or out in the wild looking for more “stuff.”
