Sara Nevison

I began my career as a program manager in nonprofits committed to advancing justice through education and workforce development. I noticed that nonprofit finances and capital had a powerful impact on client programming, workplace culture, and ultimately equity. However despite its power, financial information was rarely discussed openly or understood clearly. As a fervent learner, I jumped into accounting determined to understand nonprofit finance more clearly. In accounting, I found a natural fit for my skills and interests. As Propel Nonprofits’ Accountant, I take pride in providing accurate, timely, and clear financial information to empower nonprofit leaders to make decisions and work toward justice.

Outside of work you will find me hiking with my beloved basset hound, trying new recipes to nourish my family and friends, or reading novels.
